Director and executive producer Roger Gastman is presenting his new documentary “Wall Writers” at the Smithsonian’s S. Dillion Ripely Center tomorrow, February 17th, from 6:45 to 8:45 pm. Gastman will introduce the film before the screening and follow with a Q&A session afterwards, so don’t miss this chance to pick his brain about the film, which explores the early days of graffiti and how something as seemingly unremarkable as spray paint can start a revolution. The documentary also features narration by the legendary John Waters. Signed copies of the film’s companion book, Wall Writers: Graffiti In Its Innocence will also be available.
Visit the Smithsonian’s website for tickets and more information about the event, and check out the documentary’s trailer at Vimeo here.
