British film magazine Cinema Retro recently caught up with Adam Newell, author of The Art of the B-Movie Poster, for an interview about the book and the art of hunting and collecting vintage film posters. Read the interview here to learn a bit about Newell’s own evolution as a poster collector, the process of putting the book together, and even a few tips on how to store your own B-movie art.
The Art of the B-Movie Poster is Newell’s collection of over 1,000 incredible posters from low-budget films from the 1940s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. A loving tribute to the artwork and artists that brought biker gangs, jungle girls, James Bond rip-offs and reefer heads to life for audiences around the world, The Art of the B-Movie Poster is currently available from Gingko Press.
