Gingko Press Privacy Policy

Welcome to Gingkopress.com. If you have a moment, please read this document. It describes the steps Gingko Press takes to protect your privacy and maintain the security of the personal information you submit through our website. When you visit our site to browse or buy, you enter into an agreement with us to adhere to this privacy policy. If at any time we need to revise this policy, the changes will appear on this page. Check back from time to time.

What information do we collect?

There are very few forms on Gingkopress.com where personal user information is required. They are:
1. The page where you can email a message to eorders@gingkopress.com
2. The checkout page where you submit your billing and shipping addresses, and your credit card information.

eorders@gingkopress.com sends your credit card information from our shopping cart software to our payment gateway, Elavon Virtual Merchant over a secure server layer connection (SSL). Your credit card information is dumped from our system after we have shipped your order to you.

We also track the URL of the website, if any, from which you accessed www.gingkopress.com. This allows us to monitor how well promotions we have placed on other websites are performing. This piece of information in no way personally identifies you.

How do we use this information?

Your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, and email address are collected on our checkout page. We use this info to process and ship your order.

If you’ve signed up for our email newsletter, we use your email address when we send out our e-mailings. You are welcome to unsubscribe from this mailing. The email newsletters contain instructions for unsubscribing. If you need to remove your name from our print mailing list, just phone us at (510) 898 1195.

If you email us through our contact form, we will use your name and email address to reply to your message.
First-time wholesale customers are required to complete a Wholesale Account Application. This form collects information about your business, including bank account information and reference addresses. We use this information to help us determine the legitimacy of wholesale requests.

How secure is my personal information?

Gingkopress.com protects the personal data we collect against unauthorized access with secure server layer (SSL) encryption.
We do not share your personal information with third parties unless you have consented to the disclosure or the disclosure is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with legal process, (2) protect and defend our rights and property, (3) protect our customers or users from misuse or unauthorized use of the Last Gasp Web site, or (4) protect the personal safety or property of our customers or the public.

Gingko Press may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related Web site information to third parties, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.
